Boost.ai Academy Privacy Information

This notice aims to give you information on how boost.ai collects and processes your personal data. It is important that you read this notice together with any other privacy notices we may provide on specific occasions when we are collecting or processing personal data about you so that you are fully aware of how and why we are using your data. This specific notice supplements other privacy notices and is not intended to override them.

Personal data categories

Account and profile information: Data retrieved from the time the account is created, and when you modify your profile or set preferences. This information may include but is not limited to: first name, last name, username, email, password, account creation date and last access date.

Interactions within the service: your progress, interaction with and scores for the elements within the system, for example videos you watched, certifications, tests and/or assignments you completed.

Content you provide to the service: all the content that you post, send, receive and share through the Services.

Collection of personal data

We collect your personal data in order to provide you with the training and educational services and certifications that you requested from us and to build a higher quality, more useful service.

We may also use your contact information to send you information about product updates, new content and events.

We may archive all collected personal data and use it for providing and/or improving the services and/or for future communications with you where we are legally authorized to do so, including, but not limited to, to send you information about product updates, new content and events.

Purpose of Processing

We will only use your personal data for the purposes for which we collected it and as set out in this notice unless we reasonably consider it for another purpose and that the reason is compatible with the original purpose.

We may also process your personal data for purposes that are permitted under applicable law without further notice to you.

Data sharing

Sharing within boost.ai affiliates: We will share your personal data with other entities in our group as part of our regular reporting activities on company performance, in the context of a business reorganization or group restructuring exercise and for system maintenance and support and hosting of data. All of boost.ai entities are controllers of your personal data.

Third parties acting as processors: Your personal data may be transferred to third-party service providers (including contractors and designated agents and partners), including their sub-processors. All our third party service providers are required to take appropriate security measures to protect your personal information and are under confidentiality obligations. In the event that boost.ai decides to replace the current platform provider of boost.ai Academy, your data may be transferred to such a new third party provider.

All data that is processed in the boost.ai academy will be stored in boost.ai's environment at Intellum’s cloud server which is hosted by Amazon Web Services in Ireland.

Mandatory disclosures: We may share your personal data with government authorities or third parties in response to legal processes, to establish or exercise our legal rights or to protect our property, to defend against legal claims or otherwise required by law. We may also share your personal data when it is appropriate to audit, investigate, prevent or take action regarding illegal or suspected illegal activities, to protect and defend the rights, property or safety of Boost.ai, our users, customers and in connection with our Terms of Use and other agreements.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for, including for the purpose of satisfying any of our legal, accounting or reporting requirements.

To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements.

In some instances, we may anonymize your personal data so that it can no longer be associated with you, in which case we may use such information without further notice to you.

Rights of access, rectification and erasure

Under specific circumstances, by law you have the right to;

Request access to your personal data: this enables you to receive information on how we process your personal data and a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

Request correction: this enables you to have incomplete or inaccurate data that we hold about you correct though we may need to verify the accuracy of the new data you provide to us.

Request erasure: this enables you to ask us to delete or remove your personal data where there is no good reason for us to continue to process it. Note, however, we may not always be able to comply with your request for erasure for specific legal reasons.
